Vice President, State Affairs
Kristin Power is a member of CSPA's Legislative and Public Affairs department and serves as the Vice President for State Affairs. CSPA's expansion in the western region of the country and the hiring of Power in 2010 coincides with an increased emphasis on legislative and regulatory reform at the state level.
Based in California, which has become a key state for issues important to CSPA members, Power is responsible for directing CSPA’s state legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts. Additionally, her duties include promoting and protecting the interests of member companies throughout the 27 states that encompass the west region.
Power’s background includes extensive experience in the areas of government and state affairs. Prior to joining CSPA, she served the administration of former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, as deputy director for legislation for the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
Power holds a master of arts in education and bachelor of arts in political science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
