CSPA, in cooperation with the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), is proud to announce a new entry in its field of professional development courses. Designed to keep up with the ever expanding need for information in international specialty business and regulatory areas, the new CSPA workshop “Sourcing from Abroad and Importing Consumer Pesticide Products and Ingredients,” will be offered June 18-19, 2008, in Washington, DC.

Developed by CSPA’s Pest Management Products Division and senior Association staff, the workshop is a basic training course in sourcing from foreign countries and how to find those sources, the ins and outs of importing pesticide products, tariffs, and US EPA, US Customs and Border Protection and international regulations regarding registration, compliance and compensation.  It is designed especially for

            · In-house regulatory personnel involved in international issues
            · Both in-house and outside attorneys
            · Consultants wishing to become familiar with the subject areas
            · New technical and scientific professionals in the pesticide product management industry
            · Experienced staff looking for an update on latest regulations

“Sourcing from Abroad and Importing Consumer Pesticide Products and Ingredients” will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon Thursday, June 19, at the Washington law offices of McKenna Long and Aldridge, 1900 K Street, NW.   Registration fees are $450.00 for CSPA and IADC members and $550.00 for nonmembers.  Fees cover registration and course materials, continental breakfasts, luncheon, refreshment breaks and reception / mixer.  Fees are payable in U.S. currency.  Attendees are responsible for their own transportation, lodging and incidentals.  Cancellations must be received in writing by June 11, 2008, for a full refund.
