Executive Newswatch Wins Top Award for Excellence in Online Publishing
Premier authority in association publishing honors CSPA for third consecutive year
Washington, DC (May 17, 2005) – Executive Newswatch , the electronic membership newsletter of the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA), has received the Society of National Association Publications (SNAP) EXCEL 2005 Gold Award as the outstanding electronic newsletter in the Online Publishing – General Excellence category. This marks the third consecutive year of SNAP recognition for Newswatch , which received a bronze award last year and a silver award in 2003.
The Gold Award for this category is presented annually to the electronic newsletter judged to have the best overall design, editorial content, reader-friendliness and usefulness links. In judging the entries, a panel of publication experts reviewed three consecutive issues of an Association's Internet-based newsletter.
SNAP is a professional society of association publishers and communications professionals. The nation's foremost authority in association publishing, SNAP through its EXCEL program honors the exemplary work of association publishers, judging hundreds of magazines, newsletters, scholarly journals, electronic publications and web sites. This year, more than 1,100 publications were entered in a variety of categories.
This year's honors will be presented at SNAP's Third Annual EXCEL Awards Gala on June 29 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Hotel, in conjunction with SNAP's 2005 Annual Publications Management Conference.
The Consumer Specialty Products Association is a non-profit national trade association representing more than 250 companies engaged in the manufacture, formulation, distribution and sale of hundreds of familiar consumer products. It is organized into seven divisions: Aerosol Products, Air Care, Antimicrobial Products, Cleaning Products, Pest Management Products, Industrial & Automotive Specialty Chemicals, and Polishes & Floor Maintenance Products.
