Executive Newswatch Wins Silver in National Competition for Association Publications
WASHINGTON, DC (May 19, 2003) – Executive Newswatch , the Consumer Specialty Products Association's (CSPA) electronic membership newsletter, won a Silver Award in the 2003 SNAP EXCEL Awards competition, an annual program sponsored by the Society of National Association Publications (SNAP).
Executive Newswatch won in the category of “Online Publishing, Electronic Newsletter – General Excellence, 25,000 or less.” Newswatch competed in a field of about 900 entries of “high quality” that proved to be “extremely challenging” for the judges, according to SNAP.
SNAP is a recognized professional society that serves the needs of association publishers and communications professionals nationwide. The EXCEL program honors the exemplary work of association publishers, judging nearly 1,000 magazines, newsletters, scholarly journals, electronic publications and websites. Entries are judged in the areas of editorial, design, general excellence, and most improved.
“Congratulations on your fine work and exemplary product; your efforts have truly identified the Consumer Specialty Products Association as a leader in the field,” wrote Marilee D. Peterson, executive director of SNAP, in a letter to CSPA.
The awards will be given at SNAP's Second Annual EXCEL Awards Gala on June 13 at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington , DC , in conjunction with the Association's 2003 Annual Publications Management Conference.
The Consumer Specialty Products Association is a non-profit national trade association representing approximately 220 companies engaged in the manufacture, formulation, distribution and sale of hundreds of familiar consumer products. It is organized into seven divisions: Aerosol Products, Air Care, Antimicrobial Products, Cleaning Products, Pest Management Products, Industrial & Automotive Specialty Chemicals, and Polishes & Floor Maintenance Products.
