CSPA Launches Air Care Products Web Site
WASHINGTON, DC (December 16, 2004) – The Consumer Specialty Products Association's Air Care Division recently launched a new product information web site www.aboutaircare.com to provide information on the growing category of air care products.
The new web site provides information about the sense of smell, fragrances and air care products. It examines the biological and cultural roles of fragrance and the origin and use of fragranced products. The site also provides scientific information on the sense of smell, answers to questions about the use of air care products, and links to other related web sites.
“This is the sixth in a growing network of CSPA web sites that provide consumers with valuable information about our members' products,” said Association President Chris Cathcart. “We see them as an excellent way to reach students, consumers, journalists as well as consumers. The traffic on these sites continues to grow, and we reach hundreds of thousands of people each year,” he added.
CSPA's launched its first public information web site, www.aboutbugs.com , in 2002. That site, which provides information about the health risks associated with ten dangerous insects, now frequently gets more than a thousand visitors a day.
Other CSPA sites include www.aboutgerms.com (antimicrobial products), www.deetonline.org (insect repellant ingredient DEET), www.productcare.com (CSPA's product stewardship program Product Care), and www.inhalant.org (inhalant abuse information for parents and teachers).
