Aerosol Products Division Funding Study on Public Access to Recycling

by admin on February 18, 2016 No comments

CSPA is co-funding a broad study on access-to-recycling, according to representatives of CSPA’s Aerosol Products Division (APD). The study will include both aluminum and steel aerosol containers, as well as other types of packaging.

APD executives say that CSPA is one of 13 major sponsors of the study, several of which also have an interest in results pertaining to aerosol containers. The primary goal of the study is to determine what percentage of the U.S. population has access to recycling for various types of packaging. Study sponsors say that the results will also provide data that will allow organizations to target programs and consumers to increase recycling rates for various packaging, and help recycling programs to provide clearer guidance to consumers on what is accepted in their programs. The study is expected to be completed in May. For further information, contact D. Douglas Fratz at dfratz@cspa.org.
