Product Care Introduces New Trainers

New, different and exclusively for CSPA members on Monday, May 15 at National Harbor, Maryland – a workshop devoted to helping your company learn how to derive value from your product stewardship efforts. The Product Care workshop will be facilitated for the first time by four professionals with a wide range of industry and academic experience.

Curriculum

  • Best practices for maximizing the safety and sustainability of products and services
  • How to become a Product Care Steward
  • Integrating sustainability into production, distribution and disposal of products

Schedule

Session One | 8:00 am - Noon
Introduction to Product Care

“Principles of Product Care” and benefits of product stewardship for members who are new to Product Care.

Instructed by:

Steve Bennett, Ph.D., Vice President of Scientific Affairs for CSPA and Adjunct Professor in the Environmental Science and Policy Master’s Program at Johns Hopkins University.  Bennett earned his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Delaware.

Rick Kingston, PharmD, Clinical Professor, College of Pharmacy, University of Minnesota and Co-founder and President, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs, SafetyCall International PLLC.  Kingston received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Toxicology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

Session Two | 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Advanced Product Care
“Implementation of Product Stewardship – Lessons from 3M” – learn how an industry leader drives product stewardship and how you can learn from their program for your company.

Instructed By:

Cheri Kedrowski, Senior Compliance Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager for 3M Company in St. Paul, Minnesota where she implements and manages product safety, compliance, and stewardship programs.  She has led the development of new tools to measure compliance with global product regulations and corporate product stewardship standards. Kedrowski holds an MS in Chemical Engineering.

Lisa Nelson, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Manager for 3M’s Consumer Business Group.  She has held a variety of positions in product development, product engineering, product stewardship, regulatory affairs and quality for 3M’s industrial, consumer, healthcare and electronic products. Nelson earned an MS in Organic Chemistry.


Fees

$75 for single session or $95 for both sessions.
Lunch will be served from noon – 1:00 pm.
