Department of Legal, Regulatory and International Affairs
Tim Brown joined the Consumer Specialty Products Association in 2011 and is responsible for handling all federal regulatory matters that impacts CSPA’s product divisions such as the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and various Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) rules and regulations. In addition, Tim actively collaborates with CSPA’s Department of Scientific Affairs on TSCA implementation and serves as the Division Staff Executive for both the Cleaning and Antimicrobial Products Divisions. As Director for International Affairs, Tim also monitors several global issues such as the implementation of the Globally Harmonized System of Labeling (GHS), REACH, and various international accords and agreements such as the Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Prior to joining CSPA, Tim served as Senior Policy Advisor for the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and Attorney/Associate Director, Franchising and State Law at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA). Tim is also a member of the American Bar Association and Cuban American Bar Association.
Brown holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University.
