Some 3,000 products on Walmart’s ecommerce site will be labeled with badges that read “Made by a Sustainability Leader,” the retailer recently announced.
Walmart is using data from The Sustainability Consortium to determine which companies in each product category rank high enough to bear the badge, said Andrew Winston, co-author of Green to Gold.
